Summary & Scope:

Manage education program and performance data relevant to the planning, implementation and evaluation of UWCI's education initiatives. The Data Analyst, Education will develop, collect, analyze, synthesize and report education data as directed by the UWCI Director of Planning, Research and Information Systems. The Data Analyst, Education will work closely with the UWCI Director of Planning, Research & Information Systems and the education department.

Under the direction of the Director of Research and Information Resources, the incumbent will:
Collect, manage, and analyze performance data for Quality Child Care, Read UP, Student Success Grant, Bridges to Success and other agencies or initiatives supporting UWCI's education goals. Specific duties include:

  • Collect, manage, and analyze data for Quality Child Care and other early childhood programs (ISTAR-KR, Paths to QUALITY, CCDF, etc.).
  •  

  • Collect, manage, and analyze data for Read UP, Read by 3 and other literacy programs (progress monitoring of DIBELS and SRI, IREAD and ISTEP).
  •  

  • Collect, manage, and analyze data for Student Success Grant, BTS and other education programs (outcomes and outputs, test data, etc).
  •  

  • Creates and manages an "education dashboard;" and interprets outcome and community data for other UWCI departments, including RD and marketing, for meetings and publications.
  •  

  • Creates annual education reports for presentation to the Ready to Learn Committee and inclusion in the annual Community Services report.
  •  

  • Develops and maintains monthly reports for department, division and organization.
  •  

  • Fills requests for data in a coordinated, timely manner.
  •  

  • Supports the Community Services and Resource Development staff with all data needs related to UWCI's education work and community outcomes.
  •  

  • Works with data-gathering partners to leverage relevant, timely program and performance data to inform UWCI staff on impact of strategies and needs for course correction.
  •

Present and sharing information to multiple constituencies, requiring verbal communication skills. Generating correspondence and narrative reports, requiring strong written communication skills. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be physically present in the office. Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred) in the social sciences, education, business or other related discipline with 3-5 years relevant experience in data management.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Excellent analytical skills. Computer proficient (specifically in Excel pivot tables and/or access database management). Proven experience with presenting and explaining data and outcomes to various audiences. Ability to work long hours and work well with others. Must have effective organizational skills, the ability to work independently, Initiative, detail and team orientation are essential. A demonstrated interest in early and elementary education. An understanding of the role of the data in impacting education and human services with an ability to contribute to UWCI's advocacy efforts to impact policies that will help UWCI achieve its education goals.

Valid driver's license and state mandated automobile insurance.
