Summary & Scope:

To work with the United Christmas Service (UCS) Project Coordinator, social workers, donor groups, and volunteers teams to organize and coordinate the UCS referral application and donor match programs.

Duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Critical responsibilities are described below, however nothing in this description restricts the right of management to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners including service providers.
  •  

  • Act as a liaison between UCS and participating agencies during online application submission.
  •  

  • Oversee the verification and completion of online applications in preparation for donor matching and/or the direct assistance process.
  •  

  • Assist in the agency voucher issuing process in coordination with the project coordinator.
  •  

  • Disseminate vouchers in collaboration with participating agencies.
  •  

  • Assist with matching donor groups to families as needed.
  •  

  • Maintain respect for client confidentiality.
  •  

  • Assist in management of daily operations.
  •  

  • Assist in the completion of annual program report and make recommendations to improve the program.
  •  

  • Ensure donors are properly thanked.
  •  

  • Convey the mission and benefits of UWCI to general public and community volunteers.
  •  

  • Promote a cooperative spirit within the organization and among program participants.
  •  

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  •  

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least three year's experience working in program or project management required.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Excellent public relations skills. Computer proficient. Must be able to work well with volunteers and staff with minimal supervision. Computer literacy/proficiency and the willingness to learn an online software database program are essential. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be well organized and able to work on multiple tasks at one time.
